it’s waaaaaay easier to be a jerk online.

coming from some e-discovery work… waaaaaay more traceable and easy to use as evidence against someone as well…

i’ll stick with being a jerk in person.

I am dreading this movie, just as I dreaded Episodes 2 and 3 after struggling through Episode 1. The quality of the Star Wars films have declined dramatically. So much so that I had to go back and rewatch Episodes 4-6 just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming about how good they were. The only people who will love this “movie” will be those under 10.

Being a jerk online is easy. Being awesome like me is waaay hard, but somehow I pull it off

I saw a commercial on US TV about cyberbullying, it really is a problem and for those doing it, it probably seems like a victimless crime. The social norm of seeing the person you are interracting with is not present with the internet and society is changing because of this. What you have touched on is a real problem.

Being a jerk online is waaay much easier and sometimes difficult to realize it. The non verbals aren’t there for us to recognize the true cognitive meaning of what we are saying.

We can act big and touch behind a computer but be totally different in person.

San - Thanks for the comment, and I totally agree.

I often joke that Lucas took the best part of my childhood and sold it to the devil when he made the prequels. Unfortunately, it is one of those jokes that just has too much truth in it to be really funny.

I saw a poster advertising it, but didn’t know anything until I read this just now. I feel the same way about Star Wars as you. It was much better in 1998, when there was only 4-6.

I probably won’t see this as I am so over Lucas.
