We talk about the convention, the shopping and all the meet up fun that was had over the weekend.. Stephen spends most of the time whining since he was unable to attend any of it.

This week Stephen and Dr. Bill jump into wine, with a 2006 Groth Reserve Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon.

We talk about the locations of where wine is made, and why it matters. What makes up a great wine, and why all of that can significantly change up a wine for the next year.

We also talk a little about whether you need to spend 1000′s of dollars on a bottle of wine to enjoy it, and the Judgment of Paris, which eventually became a movie called “Bottle Shock” ..

This week we get a preview recap from Aric about the Gallifrey One convention, before we decide to hold off until we could get all the whovians together to do a proper recap ..

We jump into The Idiot’s Lantern .. and talk about the wire, how the TARDIS just takes over sometime and puts the doctor where he needs to be to solve the universe’s problems.

We also revel in the complexity of Dr. Who episodes, and the fact that the writers clearly love Alfred Hitchcock as much as we do, and Aric becomes a contrarian just to be a contrarian …

We then go off into the two parter, The Impossible Planet & The Satan Pit, where we meet the Ood and Aric falls asleep, but not before making a Roots reference regarding LeVar Burton, then Stephen rants about religion in Sci-Fi.

This week, and by this week I mean three weeks ago since Stephen was lazy and didn’t edit this show, we continue to travel through season 2 .. with Girl in the Fireplace and the two parter of Rise of the Cyberman and Age of Steel ..

Aric hates the girl in the fireplace, Janet falls in love with her, and Stephen just appreciates Madame de Pompadour’s personality but doesn’t think the storyline is scifi enough.

We talk about our likes and dislikes about Mickey .. our distate for the doctor’s disregard for Rose, and our assumed feelings that the Doctor is a bit of a drama queen, and the stupid name of the ship.

Next we go into in a parallel earth, and see what?! Zepplins .. Zepplins = parallel universe.

In the parallel universe we talk about how the Rickey/Mickey interaction just doesn’t work, how the cybermen are kind of a useless villain and how in a parallel universe Jackie is still an annoying bitch…
